About the Director
Dr. Stephen Gray is the Director of National Missions. Over the last 20 years he has been involved in transitioning, restarting, and planting new churches. He planted several churches himself and is now leading a church-planting movement. Stephen received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, in May 2007.
Dr. Gray has also published several books. His first book, Recommissioned: A fresh look at church planting, was a call to General Baptists to re-ignite church planting as a primary focus for the denomination. In October 2007, his groundbreaking book Planting Fast Growing Churches was released through ChurchSmart Resources. Dr. Gray has also written numerous church-planting guides and tools for General Baptists.
Dr. Gray is also a senior consultant and church-planting coach with a national church-planting movement called New Church Specialties. His passion is to train young men and women to reach the world by means of church planting.
